![]() TLDR nice tech demo but you'd be better off buying the full game Bright Memory Infinite. Also, during loading screens the game also froze whether it was because I died and the checkpoint was reloading or if I voluntarily reloaded a checkpoint to attempt the Killer Combo achievement. I played this on a Steam Deck and the game crashed way, way, way too much! It got to a point where I was afraid to open the skill upgrade menu because doing so would cause the game to freeze, thus forcing me to force shutdown the game. The same goes for the "time freeze" ability.Ħ. I didn't find it to be helpful at all during combat. Also, you better use all the available strikes when you begin to strike with your sword because if you so much as do a dodge and try to resume the sword strikes, the game won't allow you to strike even though you'll see that you still have some "stamina" left.ĥ. The sword play function, while somewhat fun, felt like a secondary thought because your "stamina" gauge drained way too fast and will take about 10 seconds to recharge. Bright Memory: Infinite transports you to the future, and to be more precise, to the year 2036. Several times I had to allow myself to get killed simply because I reached one of the two bosses with little more than a couple magazines.ģ. Enemies are bullet sponges, especially the bosses. There is actually more story building material in the game's description than the game itself.Ģ. Again, I know this is a demo, but the cutscenes give you zero explanation of what's going on. The feeling of the guns, primarily the handgun and rifle/SMG, was quite satisfying.ġ. I really liked the graphics, save for some wonky physics such as Shelia's alternate outfit's skirt glitching through her body or Carter's uncanny stare. Now, let me say that, while I found the overall game to be tedious, there is hope that Infinite will be an improved version of this. I guess I should have known what I was getting into when I saw the word "trailer" on the "New Game" option. When I bought this "game" I didn't know that it was essentially a tech demo for the full game Bright Memory Infinite.
